Safety a something priority!
My teammate who I've dubbed the Stage Manager has many interesting characteristics, but the one that stands out particularly is that he wears more black than I do. I've been known to wear jewel-tones, and I have a few lovely blue-print skirts, and one very loud pink and green floral on a black background. The Stage Manager? One of my teammates has seen him wear blue jeans. Once. On a weekend.
In my travels about the internet looking for blue sew-on reflective trim, I managed to encounter -- black. Black reflective trim. Black backing fabric embedded with itty wee reflectors that work best from a distance of 20 feet or further, this being a distance where motorists are going to need to see a biker or pedestrian, rather than closer.
I promptly ordered some, with plans to affix it to various of my clothes and accessories. I enthusiastically informed the Stage Manager about it the next time I saw him, which was yesterday. It arrived yesterday afternoon, just after he'd left for the day. I left a sample-size square of it on his keyboard and sent him the link.
Reducing the risk of the Stage Manager getting swiped by a car in some darkened parking lot, whee! Safety somethingth.
