Dentist

Been rather draggy all weekend, as I do not like it when my mouth starts hurting and hurting and hurting. Went to the dentist today, but evidently all seems to be well in general. I got my antibiotics extended, I should call him if I start to run out of pain meds when I still have pain, the ibuprofen is a good move because painkilling + anti-inflammatory = ftw, and sometimes bones just gotta ache if they have a great gaping hole in them.

Bleh.

But at least I know it's normal and it's not like it's not healing; he says that it looks just great back there!

He hadn't had the Two Teeth With Scary Doom Between on his little list of things to get fixed in my mouth; they're the thing that's next on it for me. Because. Scary. Doom. Pain. These things do not like me.

I'm sorry to hear you are under the weather and experiencing pain/drugs/ickiness. I stumbled across your LJ and decided I needed to friend you. I did my thesis work on images of disability and technology in science fiction, so the word "prosthetic" leapt out at me, but your info page demonstrated enough shared interests that I figured I should know you better. I am a blind bibliophile who lives in a large Victorian house with a bunch of geeks, gamers, and SCA types. There were a number of other fetishes and obsessions in common, and hey, you quoted Mike Ford, very cool! I got to be on a panel at WisCon with him last year.

Hi, and welcome to the Lunacy! The journal title is a quote from A Civil Campaign, what Illyan says about the voice-memo recorder that Cordelia hooked him up with. (I had to look at your interests to make sure I didn't have to pimp that series to you, because if you hadn't had any of it listed in your interests, I would have merrily attempted to hook you on the series.)

Mike Ford was one of the people I would have liked to have had the opportunity to meet.

Let me know if there are any particular images that really need proper alt text. In theory, I try to be good about that, but in practice I tend to just jam images up in the middle of things to illustrate whatever point I was trying to make, without really thinking about alt text all the time.

I may or may not add back depending on how close my friendslist is to critical mass, and how much spare time I have. (I just took on some more random responsibilities with LJ, so I'm finding a good five hours have been taken out of my week.)
