I may not be much of a people person, but I'm more of one than he is... this is actually the tag-end of a conversation that Dawn and I had about introverts who were programmers (extensible to most forms of geek), who required interface-personell to get them to talk to most other people. She had one of them in her working group; I mentioned that Darkside (also a friend of hers) was the same way; she agreed, and was glad that Darkside had a people-person like me to be there with him. Darkside's school groups usually wind up folding me into their number by the end of things, when they're through with the programming work and want to get to know the guy as they'd get to know a human. I am his only visible friend...
