Mmm, gossip
It's good to have a nice home-town gossip with someone who knows the same people, more or less... there's just something about a small town.
Even if it is a whole state.
Close the damn school, pfui!

so we jump in the car (they're always cars, even if the 'car' is a three-quater-ton souped-up pickup, you're still jumping in the car to run to the store) and go to decibel records to buy a tix for her, since they're not selling tix at the door at this one.
At the store, she looks over at the guy who's scribbling something on a piece of paper, either hanging out or about to buy something, and he looks over. He says, "Are you from Kenai?"
She replies, "Hey, you're Shane's oldest brother, aren't you?"
the ensuing conversation was amusing to all involved, a quick catch-up on how a few people in common were doing. He's lived in Anchorage for almost 5 years now, DJ somewhere in town. And one of the two boys behind the counter began to sing the Alaska social song to me, "It's a small world after all..."
