gremliness did not hassle me about my eating of meat, though she is vegetarian herself. She mentioned this, and then mentioned that it was quite a bit due to her knowing that I had helped FatherSir in the butchering of chickens. I know where meat comes from, and I choose to eat it, even having seen blood and guts and a living creature turn into meat.

She will hassle people who eat meat and are totally squicked by the killing process about that. So would I.

When I was something like ten, I read one of the scare-pieces[1] for vegetarianism. I, um, rather liked gross things[2]. My little sister did not. I basically terrorized her into vegetarianism for a while. My parents were Not Amused.

[1] Note that by "scare-piece" I specifically do not mean that it wasn't accurate. That sort of thing about the meat industry often is accurate. I just mean that the purpose of the thing was definitely to shock people about what they were eating.

[2] I think I'd already kept a scab on my bookshelf before this happened. I don't remember ever removing the scab from the shelf; I suspect some adult eventually did.

yeah, she and i had that chat as well... she said that all she asks of her meat eating friends is that they remember they are eating an animal.

heh. i am a good part wolf, in so many ways.
personally, i'd be mighty happy if i could run down stuff in the wild all on my own.

ironically, it is the chemicals in modern american meat i have a problem with, and one of the reasons i am looking at a Raw Food diet conversion. LOL

I am sure that you mentioned her here and there, but she did not appear frequently in our babblings back in the day.

I can like meat lightly burned. Mmm. Meat. Juicy.

I'm not much for high-fat meat. Nor am I much for non-red meat.
