Premises for a timetravel SF novel
1. Any given molecule really ought not to be within a certain physical radius of itself from the past.
2. The human body replaces the molecules within itself completely within a certain finite amount of time.
3. There is a certain window of time that you really ought not to go back and visit yourself.

Haven't done one of these in a while, but they're interesting.
1. What makes you homesick?
Rain, mostly, and cold temperatures ... and, of course, extended lack thereof. Listening to my mother's voice, or seeing something that reminds me of my father; talking to my little sister. Realizing that there are only two people in this state that I have the sibling-variety of immediate connection with.
2. Where is home for you?
My parents' house in Fairbanks, Alaska; CTY 1995 at Hamilton College; getting to be, this apartment; anywhere Darkside is.
3. What makes it home for you?
My library is at my parents' house, and all of my childhood memories, and the rest of my stuff. CTY was where I met some of my best friends, who helped me through a very difficult few moments in teenage life, and made it OK to have a brain, because they were the ones who could catch an idea I tossed out and fling it back. This apartment, because I'm creating new happy memories here and slowly transferring my library, and doing dishes and spreading my junk around; I've lived here for a while now. With Darkside, the way he can make the universe all right again when it's falling down in shreds around my ears is what makes his sphere of influence home to me.
4. Where is the furthest, distance-wise, you've been from home?
Furthest from my parents' house: Hamilton College, in Clinton, NY, for CTY in 1994 and 1995. Furthest from CTY: my parents' house in Fairbanks, AK. Either of those places are pretty damn far from my little apartment here in Phoenix. The farthest, physically, I've been from Darkside since I met him was the week or two he visited family out of state over the summer vacation; those were an uncomfortable two weeks for me.
5. What are you doing this weekend?
Working, Saturday, and probably cleaning house and sleeping and getting ready for school on Sunday. Adam makes the list, and I think I'll call Darkside and try and chat a bit...

Called Adam and hashed out some ground rules.
When he files a flight plan with the Temple before leaving (i.e., "I'll be home in time for dinner,") if that plan changes, he's to call in as soon as he finds out what is going on, or definitely before midnight if he's not back by then.
I am not a person who deals well with last-minute changes of plan. I am fairly OK with things happening if there was nothing scheduled to happen, but having things happen other than what was scheduled to happen really messes with my entire day. It pulls an emotional reaction more appropriate for a five-year-old out of me, often complete with crying and sulking about it.

Phone madness
Last call of the day, got about five guys, with a speakerphone, and beer. They asked me questions, I asked them questions. They had to come to a consensus on every answer they gave. Sounded like interesting guys, very jovial. Got all the way through the intro, too, until my supervisor came and shut down all the fun.
Just so y'know ... the two celebrities I consider myself most resembling are Claudia Christian and Marina Sirtis.

Fangs.
I'm going to grin with fangs for the next few days. Votania decided to make it a Metallica evening. The fangs come further out. There are white candles all over the coffee table. I picked out a new one and put it in one of the blue glass candleholders, and had Marx hold it while I lit it. There is the smell of incense, and delicious dinner, the sound of good music and happy friends laughing. The Viking is here, teasing Nephew, and Votania sits in front of the candles with that grin on her face. She has more fangs than do I. Marx is working on his journal on the server, who recently got a new video card. This makes text hard to read, but apparently it's awesome for games. *rolls eyes* Adam's out at a birthday dinner for a friend. I mean fiend. No, friend. Many candles, the loud hard metal, incense in my nose, overwhelming the last remnants of my cold.
