Sick

Started feeling lousy at 2:30, and many trips to the bathroom were made. Whatever's up, I'm really really feeling awful, because the sick-to-stomach thing doesn't happen often. I suspect the frozen pizza that was dinner. I'm still throwing up. E-mailed Darkside and let him know that breakfast together was just not happening.

Need grape juice.

Fortunately, it's long enough between barfing that I can absorb water. It's the waking up and standing up that seems to upset me.

Much napping. Feeling better. Muscles screaming at me for abusing them so by having to violently expel unwanted material out of me. Got backrub from an angel in the guise of marxdarx. Still so very tired. Not seeming to be throwing up anymore, which is good. Still not ranging far from loo.

Cats!

This makes me want to get at least one of my own.

Update:

Having not thrown up since nine or so, I finally deem it safe to eat a serving of strawberry-flavored Cream of Wheat. Yum. I'm only half through with it, but I'm not feeling secure enough in my stomach to eat much more. I did have two glasses of grape juice at various points throughout the day, so I'm not completely starving.

Negotiated privilages. I formally ceded mine, but the decision lies with the most-affected party, which means that my having given up means jack, as attentions were focused elsewhere to start with. (No, it's not supposed to make much sense.)

The timing for October Fools' Day is poor: Votania and I will have to play that prank on Darkside elsewhen.

Health update

Still feeling lousy and not wandering far from bathroom, though the barfing seems to be well over. My temperature is a neat 101.6 F, which figures. My base temperature is 99.0, so it's not as high as it might otherwise comparatively be. I ache all over, and I've been lying down most of the day. This is the best I've been feeling all day.

My temperature has come down. I've had a bottle of the protein shake stuff, made with water; milk would be a Bad Idea right about now.

OK, not good.

When you pull out the thermometer just to check how it's doing, and see 103.4, this is not a good sign.

Fortunately, that seemed to be a freak of the thermometer...

the second time around, with no disturbing, came out 101.3.
