soulmate/soulmatch (from a comment)
(original post)
I think, at any given moment, there are any number of potential soul-matches, with the right inherent traits (listening, loving, curiousity, to name a few in my case) and the flexibility to be able to love me and be loved by me now, and change with for later.
Which specific one or many of the potentials we pick depends much on circumstance. Later, if we've changed so much that our soulmatch no longer matches us, if they haven't changed with us, there are an entirely new set of soulmatches for us to find.

Sisterhood
My two paternal aunts will be showing up while FatherSir has his operation in Tacoma. Aunt-Fayoumis is going to be driving there and chaos-camping; Guide Dog Aunt will be flying.
It's nice to have a sister or equivalent around if you're in the hospital. I had BJ when I went to the ER for my potentially busted ankle. (It was only sprained.) I cannot remember him as being sweet. Even when he was trying to be sweet, I remember him as obnoxious.

Science final:
Done. Over. Yay. Time to sleep.
...no, wait. Speech final. Dammit! Word of the day: Almost.

Parent-teacher conferences
Finals are over with; I have the rest of the week off.
Pretty soon, I'm going to have to go pretend to be a grown-up with
votania and hear how our boy is doing in school, and ask questions and get asked questions and work on how to best teach him the things he'll need to know.
He's got memorized some of the things he's got to know coming out: name, address, phone number, and I think a few more. He's good with colors and counting. He's learning his letters, and sounding words out.
I really should go take anything spare I have from my plasma donation money, hit a good used book store, and for every book for myself I buy, get one for him.

Random Assorted Happinesses
Conference went well. After that, walked to Fascinations to pick up a job app. This is seasonal, strictly seasonal, so I'm not expecting much of long-term. Fascinations is a cute little sex shop, much more friendly than Fantasyland back home.
