Been reading lots of Harry Potter slash.

...I remember myself at fifteen. Rather clearly. I kept journals. Without them, the memories would have faded into senseless garble -- but I remember myself.

Seeing reflections of my own memories has a very low squick-value for me.

Going to give the Faire another shot tomorrow. Today I was far too blarghed out of my mind, plus I had a very sick digitalambience to give tea to.

Got my homework done, so I can go.

Uneasy, odd dreams. Called Darkside this morning and left my number. Am staying home. Do not feel like braving the public. Am becoming nocturnal. Do not like my sinuses.

Afternoon

Have still been reading. Paradigm of Uncertainty, this time. I've been in the group long enough, I might as well read the story it's named after... having read The Changeover, I'm at least familiar with the background.

(side note: now that is an excellent book, one of the ones that makes my hair stand on end in that way.)

So very much better...

Little things, around my room. I put up the mirrors I had gotten, finally. I like the property of mirrors that they help me see things in a different angle than I would have originally considered them. I have the three black-framed oval mirrors marching diagonally down the wall by my bed, just as they should be. I moved the Darth Maul poster to make room for them.

I looked in and I saw her again, of course. It's been a long time since I've had a mirror of my own, that I could see her in. I saw her, a few times, in the window of the cafeteria in the mornings, but... it's been a long time. I may have pointed her out to Darkside, that morning. I'm rather sure I mentioned her name to him.

Evening

Nephew played shooting games all morning and into the afternoon, then was disappointed that he missed eating lunch with me. Slowly but surely, he'll learn that there are disadvantages to being sucked into the game.

The Viking came over and picked up the money for the surprise computers, and then returned, later, with said computers. Mmm, Linux. Mmm.

Nephew asked if we could watch Star Trek. We watched The Undiscovered Country quite happily. He digs the mirrors on my wall, and started having fun with them. Evidently my enchantment is not just for me.

votania and marxdarx came home from their second day at the Faire, happy, having more than broken even. It was excellent timing that she brought home a sword and helmet for Nephew, which makes an excellent early Yule present for him, as the computers are also early Yule gifts. I have something for votania which ought to make something good for her, just to make things fair...

Tonight I forsee furniture-moving, as we have to find somewhere to put the new boxen. Mmm, computers.

They hit the hot tub for a while. Nephew likes The Simpsons, and watched that with me.

Ahhh, home.

I've missed having some of those discussions with marxdarx about theory, late at night.

I evidently need to read Enochian Physics: confirmation that ectogenesis is what I thought it was, and that rosalynde is just as real as I thought. She and I and A* are part of an Escher-chain... Kathy too, if she writes well enough.

Cleavage

Darkside and I joked around with the sodas when we were at the movie. I almost slipped some ice down his neck: I refrained from doing so because we were on our best behaviour. We did grab the backs of each other's necks with ice-cold hands, though.

He didn't put any soda down my cleavage either.
