Morning, morning, morning.
Last night was one of those weird things. I was cleaning out the box of fabric scraps, and got an unexpected bit from my past: a white shirt with blue beads around the neckline, very pretty... and from a time of rather hazardous emotions. I, of course, pulled out my journal from the appropriate time.
I seem to have reloaded an interesting module into my head. I'm not quite sure what it is, but it has to do with hope, and with caution, and with just-barely unshed tears.
I think it's something I need.

Mmm, projects.
Have cleared out some space or other in my bathroom. I want to get all in order for a) Darkside dropping by tomorrow (22 hours!) to pick me up for the movie, and b) the Yule party.
In the cleaning of the fabric box, have uncovered an old project: the beading of a ritual shirt. Have also uncovered beads. Have also uncovered unfinished wedding veil and beads that go with that. Will be working, slowly but surely, on old projects to finish them. Though the fiance that went with the veil was a lemon, the veil is still nice, and I like it: next steps on it include adding the pearl beads to dangle down and frame my face, and hemming the edges of things and adding pearl and silver beads. Am happily and quietly working on beading the ritual shirt here at the computer, as it's something I can do one bead at a time in between reading things. I like being able to multitask.
Speaking of stuff, I need to bring over tape so that I may wrap up presents and prepare them for shipping. There should be a mass trip to the post office at some point. And I need to, before that, go to the store and get supplies for the construction of the rest of the gifts. For the most part, everybody's getting the same thing, because it's one of my areas of expertise and so damn cool.
At least, I think it's damn cool.
Next up on the Doing Things: clearing out and organizing the Pit Beneath My Sink.

Wrapped the stuff. Need to get more mailer-things for the mailing of said cool items. yaksha42 dropped by on his way to the work to get some wrapping paper. Gave him a small wrapped package to be delivered to aina42 whenever he next sees her/sends something her way: a gift from her "Wiccan Stepmother".
GUDS token of the day: the Pink Triangle, downward-pointing. Hmm.
Cleaned out the Pit o' Doom. Boxed feminine supplies more tidily. Put away the TP. Dabbed balm on my nose, where a spot is developing, just in time for my Appointment in ... 21 hours. And counting.
What the hell should I wear tomorrow? I just did my laundry, so everything except one pair of underpants, the black shorts that fit poorly, and the 1995 Dave Smith Run shirt would be clean.
Must make run to sewing store at some near point to replace broken sewing machine needle that I might use the happy duffel bags as luggage when visiting Grandma.
Must queryboojum on general location on the one day of overlap time we have in CA this trip, which would I believe be January 5th.
Must querysithjawa on plotting out meetup time/place for happy vacation fun. Should be able to gallivant off with Aunt-Fayoumis at at least one point, if not several. She delights in road trips with me.

Mmm, the smell of ritual
Came home to find that the scent of my candles had warmed and brightened the whole house. I got the mix right: that place in my mind which was fading some is now very bright and close.
Picked out outfit for tomorrow. Velvet button-down shirt over white T-shirt embroidered with blue beads around the neckline over white bra; black swirly skirt with the red and cream decorations at the hem; navy blue suede slip-ons. Teardrop necklace, pearl earrings, white-beaded headband-comb.
