Happy Yule!

It's a happy kind of morning, despite the kink in my neck severe enough to make me not want to be touched, and the allergy/cold thing that is making me equally miserable.

The house smells like fresh sweet rolls, and all is good.

There are things under the tree. yaksha42 slept over, and is playing with Nephew.

... involves a silly One Ring Burger King toy, a few candles, and movie money plus the offer of a date, which was of course happily accepted.

Hee.

Blah.

Neck-ache huuuurts. Made the stuff, and bottled it. Note: splitting the oil between two 20 oz bottles works better: less horribly strong.

Marx's grandparents left, after the happy spaghetti lunch. I'll be making my famous garlic bread for supper, when the other, younger crowd shows up.

Meanwhile, I'm enjoying my Tiger Balm and trying to reclaim my neck from the Gods of Pain, who demanded it as a sacrifice this morning.

Pain, trust

There are two people I trust to touch me when I'm hurting badly: ralmathon and Darkside. Neither of them would ever harm me, and they both know the way I move well enough, mind and muscle, to hurt me as little as possible when I'm in pain.

Odd.

I'm discovering, that even with all the journals I write, right where the world at large can see them, how very little of myself I give away.

That's quite a bundle to take care of.

Yep, the party was fun.

Sithkitten doesn't have an LJ, so she's missing out on all the LJ-fun, sadly. Ah well.

Hopefully, next time a party is thrown with the appropriate amount of force, more of the usual suspects will be able to show. The Viking's absence was notable, as was of course Darkside's. Though, with my neck locking up in delightful muscle spasms every few minutes if I turned my head wrong, perhaps that was a good thing.
