I have just put an entry -- two, actually -- into my palmtop's organizer, in the "floating event" category. These, for those who don't know palmtop datebooks like mine, stay on the today page, for whatever day today is, until they're checked off as done.

I have one Kittenhate event daily to do, and another one, extra, that pops up for weekends.

Knowledge (now I don't half so much feel like a dumbass)

I tried calling Darkside this morning before he left for his friend's bachelor party. I didn't call soon enough; I did speak with his mother. While I had her on the line, I inquired about birthdays, namely, what would be a good birthday present for her only son my best friend?

This stumped her. They usually get him car repairs for his birthday...

This didn't help me much in my quest to find Darkside something good, interesting, and meaningful for his birthday, but it did fill me with confidence that I was not the only one who was less-than-clueful about what this man really wants that he doesn't have (aside from more games and more anime... I may take the suggestion of marxdarx and just get him a gift card... but that so feels like wimping out) ... I mean, his mother doesn't know? I feel so much more secure in being his best friend now. He really is almost as bland as Illyan.

Ah, nice workout. Biscuit.
