Freebase meetup last night. Pouring down rain.
When I go into the city, I drive to the BART station. Not the very nearest BART station, but the next one, because the next one is the one to which all trains from the city go, whether they continue or turn around. It was pouring down rain, and snug in my dry car I felt the thrill of humidity, breathing in without effort as the grey skies darkened incrementally. I take the train in. When I start my iPod after I park, on this shuffle of the iPod I get to "Penny Lane" when I reach the station I'm going to. It's a clean machine, washed of the week's dirt by the relentless rain. I like to walk from the BART station to the office, a half-mile and getting darker, charcoal-grey now, but such beautiful rain, such beautiful leaves trampled on the sidewalks and at the poorly-guttered margins of the streets.
The a/v system in the meeting room was out, so they kicked it oldschool with a whiteboard and interpretive dance. Good times. Dinner after, with fun chatter. I got to meet (but not touch, since I'm having a bad tech week) Tif's new laptop. (Bad tech week: so the Pixi has a mangled download, and since I'm a little nervous about doing this on my own and I only had verbal instruction last time, time to contact Palm again for figuring out how to wipe the minimum amount off the mofo, and restore once done.)
