Boat.... I think it was a rowboat....open water. You were facing me and rowing... I was "steering" and telling you we needed to get dockside (no correlation to "darkside").
I had decided to enter a triathalon and was "flying" and you said that was cheating so you grounded me and we did the water portion together in the rowboat. At one point I pointed out an oil derrick and you thought I had said [insert Darkside's name here]. So you immediately changed direction and started rowing furiously. You said you had to get to him. He needed you.
I was frustrated and "flew" away... watched you from afar as you rowed across an ocean to get to him. Watched his face as he realized what it had taken for you to get to him. Watched you glow brighter the closer you came to him.
That is what I remember. I'm having a difficult time separating whether these kinds of dreams are mine or yours or ours. Does this sound familiar? If no, then it was just mine.
Speaking of dreams, I had one about you and little Fayoumis about four days ago. I can only remember a fragment of it, but the atmosphere was really distinctive.
It felt like the two of you were in a fairy-tale. An old one from before Disney had gotten at it and sanitized it and tacked 'and they all lived happily ever after' on the end. Something ancient, and close to the earth, without a proper ending.
Anyway you were standing together in this enormous doorway. I couldn't see the whole thing, but I could see part of the stone arch on your right, so I got the impression that you were in a castle or a church.
One of you was about to go on a quest and the other person wasn't, but I can't remember whether it was you or LF who would be making the journey. I'm not sure that part was clear even when I was dreaming it, because you were there more as concepts than as people. I haven't really seen pics of either of you except in user icons, so it sort of makes sense that I couldn't visualise you easily.
Anyway, either you or LF was wearing a backpack that was slightly too big to carry comfortably and preparing to embark on this important quest (I have no idea what.) The fairy tale theme got even stronger here, because I got the impression that two people had already failed at this quest and that in true fairy tale style, either you or LF was going to be the 'third son' who succeeds where his elder brothers failed.
Of course since both of you were in the fairy tale, you didn't realise that you were going to be successful, so the atmosphere was very serious and focused. I got the impression that whichever of you wasn't going on the quest had just delivered Wise Words to the other. You had your hand on LF's shoulder, but I can't decide if that was you giving him your blessing before he started out or taking a moment to gather your courage before you left.
Then whichever-of-you-it-was stepped forward to begin the journey and the dream ended. Oh and the journeyer was holding a walking stick too, because the trip was going to be a long one. It wasn't a manufactured walking stick, it was a tree branch with the bark stripped to make it smooth. It was a very light brown, almost too thick to hold in one hand and the top of it was still rough where it had fallen from the tree.
The overall vibe was one of determination. Something had to be done and you were going to do it, regardless of the danger. And you didn't realise it yet, but you were going to succeed.
It's unusual for me to dream about real people at all. 98% of my dreams are about fictional characters, so this one stood out, even though there were only about three seconds of it. I thought I'd pass it on anyway, because I'm always endlessly fascinated when people have dreamed about me.
I have a vague feeling that it's happening more often, but that I'm so overtired lately that I can't remember them either. I've noticed a trend that the more rest I've gotten, the better I remember dreams.
But yeah, the reason I've been hesitant to tell you about them is that it's difficult to identify where my dreams end and yours begin. I don't know if that is because I am more "used" to the visits and accept them as "mine" or ________?
I think that whenever I see something unusual (such as a glow/aura) I am clued in to that dream being more than a flight of unconscious imagery.
I dunno.... I'm babbling. This still flummoxes me.
Even dreams that are flights of unconscious imagery say interesting things that your undermind may have picked up on that your consciousness didn't catch.
The only true nightmares I've had have been when my unconscious noticed something that I *needed* to know, that terrified me, that I hadn't seen while awake.

I do not know how this works. I have never any memory of being in these dreams, though I can see them clearly from your descriptions afterwards.
I am curious as to what was on his face.

Complete and utter astonishment.

He really doesn't know how very much I adore him, does he. He's not *used* to this.
