Pie

Constructed some pot-pies for marxdarx taking to school. Five of them are Mama's old recipe: hamburger, potatoes, carrots, onions. Three of them are hamburger, spaghetti sauce, and some alfredo sauce.

They're baking right now.

Let's see how they turn out. (I rather fear that there will be very few of them left to take.)

Next time, we're going to be trying pizza dough, and seeing how that does.

Well, since she never taught it to me, it's really my version.

Snag some hamburger. Chop potatoes. Chop carrots. Chop onions. Toss in non-stick frying pan. Add Italian seasoning, some garlic salt, some salt, and some pepper. Fry.

(That was about the size of it. No measuring.)

Put in pie crust. Bake.

So it's more like a savory meat pie than a pot pie... (pot pies having more of a saucy/gravy type thing going on).

Sounds tasty...

I can't remember if Mama just never made gravy, or if she and it had declared a blood feud on each other after a few notable disasters.
