Mary Sue, or lack thereof

I will never put a Mary Sue into a Harry Potter fic.

I can say this with great certainty, because there is already a canon one there. Hermione is the perfect Mary Sue for me.

Is all Fan Fic sexual in nature? More specifically, is the Harry Potter fanfic mostly sexual in nature?

That's the fanfic that gets the fame, but no, not all.

If you want some really good fanfic that's not sexual, look to the early Star Trek books. Those were fanfics that went legit and got published. Sadly, they don't take manuscripts from uninvited authors anymore.

Fanfic in the category "gen" is not sexual. Or, at least, it shouldn't be.

Quite a bit of the Harry Potter fanfic is sexual in nature, or at least has romances going on in it while other stuff is going on. There are some fanfics that don't have the romance as the main attraction, while others are classified as PWP ("Plot? What Plot?").

Absolutely. ^_^ Which is why I love Hermione/Snape fic and dislike Hermione/Ron and Hermione/Harry; I could live with Snape, but either of the boys would drive me to use an Unforgiveable in under a month.
