Frying pancakes, the waiting for the bubbles to flip it.

swallowtayle would always phrase it, "Bubbles coming up and reading books."

I'm still not sure why. It was silly at the time, though.

I think we stood on those little wooden chairs to reach the stove, then.

I'm not sure why either, now. It made perfect sense to me at the time. I think it was something to do with the amount of time it took them to pop, which would have been enough time for a bubble to read a book. Bubbles have shorter books than we do, in general.

I think it was that they had to come up and stay up long enough in order to read a book, not just come up.
