Children, That Woman

That Woman just got kicked out of the place they were staying, and they're staying elsewhere now.

When you've got children, you are obliged to provide for them, or have provided for them, (atmosphere,) food, water, shelter, clothing, training, supervision, and love. At the very least. That Woman is already losing points on the training/supervision/love thing. And when she does her attitude/etc. thing and gets herself and her girls kicked out of the place where they're staying? More lost points.

Fortunately for all involved, another family member has stepped in with shelterwise rescue; they're staying with the widow of [livejournal.com profile] votania's uncle now, if I recall the family Who's Who correctly.

Sheesh.

*Puzzled look*

When did you meet my ex-sister-in-law?

My family, your family, everyone's family

*Nods* Just so. Sadly, we're (mom, brother, all 3 sisters, plus grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) pretty much at the point of giving up on my brother's eldest boy, specifically because he spent too much time growing up listening to his mom, my now-ex sister-in-law.

He's 18, does not have his GED, and does not plan on getting his GED until he manages to qualify as disabled (why anyone would is a good question - his only real disability is lack of motivation to do things, and that doesn't qualify). At this point, he seems to believe that some government agency or another will PAY him to get his GED. Then, armed with his GED and proudly waving his 'disabled' status, he'll get a job as a professional game beta tester.

The truly sad thing is that he's dead serious, and won't listen to anyone who tells him he's out of his mind.

Er. Sorry. Seem to have fallen into rant mode there.

Anyway, it seems the younger kids are salvageable, and the family is doing it's best to throw lifelines.

And on a completely unrelated note: Why, for the first three times I hit the reply button, did LJ throw me either into other people's LJs, or other people's friends lists, instead? WHAT kind of crack is LJ smoking these days?

Nephew, but yes. Seriously bad crack.
