I am so in love with the Barred Rock variety...brown eggs, good layers (so i have heard)...I only wish their descriptions didn't say they were a good roasting fowl also...I don't need any encouragement for Mike in that area...I most likely will have named and tamed them all...no roasting my friends!!!
