I had a purple hat for a while in high school. I did tell people, if they asked, that I didn't need to wait until I was old to wear purple, because I already didn't care what they thought about it. :)

In general, though, I don't wear hats much. Don't like things on my head. Finally come to terms with that, now that I know *why*.
