Tomorrow I volunteered for a double shift.

In hell.

I could barely stand up to my single eight-hour shift today. What makes me think I can pull a six and a half hour and a seven hour? What?

Wait a minute. You do telephone surveys, right? You have EIGHT hour shifts??? The people doing telephone surveys where I work have 4 hour shifts. Maximum allowed work time is 5 hours, because it is only computer work, and 5 hours is the maximum save time to work on a computer. I cannot imagine working 13 hours on this at one go.

Please be careful. RSI is no joke, and no job is worth losing your health for it.

The usual shift length is 6 to 7.5 hours. Saturdays are the only 8 hour shifts.

This job is light keyboarding for me versus what I generally do on my own, and happily, I do not have to use a mouse. For me, using the mouse is what is bad for my wrist; I have had to give up almost all of the computer games I like because of this.
