Moron.

What kind of moron installs Windows 2000 on a 2 gigabyte disk?

Could be worse...I have servers running Win2k on 2 gig system-partitions. I can't patch or upgrade anything because they have no free space left. Thankfully I'm about 2 weeks out from replacing one of them, and a month from replacing another and rebuilding the last one.

/*Hehehe*/

The same kind of moron that installs WinME on a 486/90 (16MB/1GB)?

2GB is doable, if you don't intend to do a lot with it. I have a generic win2k build with office 2k in it floating around and its about 1.7GB Still isn't something I'd recommend though.

There was a time when Linux was heaven-sent. Today even Linux, to build a work environment as opposed to dedicated box such as router seems to require gigas of disk, gigas of RAM, and gigas of hertzes.

I still staunchly believe it is possible to have a decent operating system running on 4 MB of RAM from 100 MB of disk -- with much of disk being user files, with processor whose speed is in tens of megahertz. Not talking about graphic desktop, most likely, though. And of course nobody can live without an glittery-prettily all-singing, all-dancing GUI.

I've done that - AND IT WORKED!

Win2K server, even. That machine was my router for a year.

The same kind of moron who uses a 2 GB disk at all. :-)
