Two Days

Wednesday was writing group night, wherein we discussed J's protagonist, the one I wanted to defenestrate after slapping around some. Fortunately, J was just as frustrated with the character as we were, so all was good.

V can't make it through the ordeal of the Willow House afterwards. Too many people, too much smoke, too loud, and too many random strangers/outsiders/weirdlings barging in. I have to agree with her on all counts. I cannot stand the presence of J's new squeeze; he rubs me exceedingly the wrong way. Part of the whole writers' group thing is getting to hang out with V afterwards. We've got to find a new place. And she's right, some of the people we've dragged along their first time here just don't fit.

Thursday was a whole lot of nothing going on, except for one session of flamage. I gave plasma, came home, and spent the bulk of the evening putting out flames in my community. People were banned, other people were warned. Ho-hum. Then I read and did dishes and somehow managed to avoid doing anything productive.

just a side note...some cats need declawing. Many polydactyls have "super claws" or malformed claws that they can't retract and what will cause infections, get caught in things and damage thier feet, or will grow back into the foot and cause problems. Talisein has 5 of his toes that will need to be declawed because of doubled claws and superclaws....trimming does not work, and softcaps will not work, the claws are malformed. WE had to have Hex declawed for the same reason, the vet said he would have lost his left foot if we had not had it done.

Just a note for clarification, if I spot something like the squabble regarding declawing that was going on, anything you want me specifially do to?

I've been figuring just a "Hey, chill." note followed with an e-mail to you if it gets out hand. I'm assuming that's correct.

Yep, always exceptions. I'd wager that even in countries where declawing is illegal, a surgical procedure to remove claws that are a hazard to the cat's health is probably kosher.

If they fail to chill, you are more than welcome to screen and ban as you see fit, just let me know so I'll know what's up and see whether I agree or not. I'll probably agree 99% of the time, and that other 1%, they'll have needed a temporary STFU in any case.
