This means that sometime between then and now I will have to cough up the extra $100 for attending membership, the travel fees, the accommodation fees, and expense money, but! Convention! Mine! Precious!

This means that I will most likely be in Anaheim in late August 2006. I will primarily be attending the con, of course, but I will definitely be up for meeting assorted people and having fun that isn't wholly con-related. So. Locals?

Our budget is looking more like £2000 (~US$3600), which is why we can't afford to go to EasterCon next year, even though it's in Glasgow.

Given the money worries, I wonder if you're still up for sharing a room?

No, because we couldn't afford to go to that, either. :o(

I just started at a new job, and until now we've been terminally broke. We could've just about got tickets, but scraping up trainfare to and from Glasgow every day (we live in Edinburgh) would've been too much, let alone buying food and /stuff/.

So we decided to go to LA Con instead, since I need to go out to the US to meet my in-laws anyway.

Randomly: did you get an email confirmation? It occurs to me that I don't think I did, and we paid our first payment a week ago. :o/

Noisy sex does not disturb me, unless I'm having an insomnia attack. In which case: It's a con. There will be things to do. (Granted, noisy sex where I do not know and trust the participants squicks me, but that is not the case here.)

My current plot involves plasma donation and capture of those funds towards the cause. If I spend it on nothing else, it'll take me 4 months to raise the money, but I know I'll have other random expenses. (Now I'm seeing a random expense in the style of a Final Fantasy random encounter...)

I didn't get one of those either, and my bank information isn't dreadfully helpful: it isn't showing either of the transactions I made over the standard weekend. Maybe a little later.

We're not actually planning to go to Phoenix. Too hot for me. :o)

We're looking at persuading her parents to come out to LA, and afterwards we're going to spend a week driving up to San Francisco and Sacramento. (We're going to hire a car for this.)
