That line's ripped off from an ep. of Buffy.

The Draco series (Dormiens, Veritas, Sinister) rip off, at various points, Red Dwarf, Buffy, Angel, Discworld, Blackadder and a ton of other stuff I probably didn't even notice.

The stories still manage to be good, but the first few chapters don't have a proper, 'stolen jokes' disclaimer. It helps to know beforehand, before you get really into it then start saying 'Hey! Xander said that line!'

The uncredited use of other people's dialogue was also why she got tossed from Fanfiction.net for plagiarism.

Basically those stories annoy the crap out of me, because CC's perfectly capable of being funny without ripping people off, (cf. Very Secret Diaries.) I can understand why she'd use the 'dialogue from one universe in another' format on the Draco series, back when she was new at this and before she was the Big Name Diva Who Can Do No Wrong^TM. But it still grates to see her taking credit for Joss's work.
