Seems that the bus no longer takes bank cards. This was a setback to the schedule. This bus is crowded. Text messages yay

Used to. But sometime between the last time I was so broke that I had to use the credit card to get on the bus between then and payday and now, they stopped. So today when I got on the bus with my debit card and nothing smaller than a five (a handful of fives and one twenty that I'm saving for an emergency or a luxury, because it was for my birthday from my best friend, and three pennies in the bottom of my change purse) I learned that they didn't take them any more. The bus driver let me on as a courtesy when he saw my obvious dismay. (They have a bit of descretion there.) So I owe bus karma $0.75 more, unless the 45-minute wait cancelled that. (Fare is $1.25; $0.50 of that went to the guy who was trying to scrounge up bus fare.)

But it was nice while they did!
