I will need to see if Darkside can find the cable to the NIC. Half-broken & only runs @ half-duplex, but still.

Yep. I got it with Tigereye (Dell Latitude CPt) back in '00, and it currently will not perform any higher than half-duplex 10mbps, but at least it half-works, and somehow I think something capable of 100mbps is going to be wasted on Allegra. (Allegra is an Acer TravelMate 312.) Thalia (Inspiron 1000) has a built-in ...

... but her WIRELESS card is a PC card. And I have a wireless network at home as well as the wired one. <azzgrin>
