colder than the moon

What if, as S.M. Stirling's character's writings imagined, the flash-frozen dead floating in space had some infinitesimal amount of conscious awareness left inside their silent minds?

They'd be REALLY cold, REALLY crazy, and REALLY pissed off. However, they wouldn't be able to do much about it, being frozen and all.

Now, if we have some weird voodoo going on that makes them ambulatory again- NOW we're getting somewhere.

Going beyond that a bit: What sort of ghosts would huant the spaceways?

Walking dead are fun, and all- but let's just suppose that little spark can escape from the frozen shell, a ghost floating from star to star, wandering the void, seaching for..what?

I think that's more interesting story-wise - but a space-zombie movie would be damned fun, if executed properly.
