I think I was not intended to live alone. I actually probably need a lifemate more than a roommate. I want an extended family.

Three bedrooms, sunroom, living & dining rooms, kitchen, 1.75 baths. And a full basement. That's enough room for one guy and two dogs, easy! It's also big enough for one guy, his SO, and three dogs. When I bought the house, it was too large by one bedroom - I couldn't get the public spaces I wanted without the third bedroom. I reserved the third bedroom for any of several purposes - visitor sleeping, possible rental, space to give to a potential SO for their very own. In the end, it worked out very nicely!

I think I'll want an office space whenever I do wind up getting a house. I have a wireless network and a laptop, so I can take my computing wherever there's a place to sit comfortably with said laptop, but it's a good idea for me to have a working space where I can close the door against whatever din is going on in the rest of the house without locking anyone out of their spaces.

The second bedroom was/is office/library. :-)

Oh, and I forgot to list attic with a nice finished floor - not usable for living space, but wonderful for storage!

Oooh. Attics are good. I grew up without one, but I've always loved the idea.
