rain washes the world new
I love the air before, after, during a rainstorm. The water, the electricity... calms me right down and recharges me, for whatever reason.
Darkside gets homesick for Germany a lot. We had another sidestepping chat, today, about what's going to happen after he leaves. I don't want to lose another friend to moving away. He's already lost too many that way, every two years or so.
Whenever it rains, he wants to go out and stand in it. Arizona drivers don't know what to do with rain. Every time he talks about Germany, I feel the homesickness. The climate there is where his mind belongs to be at rest. The forests, the rain... I feel it so strongly that never even having been there, he pulls me with him.
Home is where the heart is. My heart is with him. I don't need anything more than friendship, but for the moment, he and I will allow my heart to camp out on his shoulder.
