Reminder to self:

Should not attempt to take a 3-day weekend to randomly drive to Texas. Not without Proper Planning, and definitely not without appropriate funding, and appropriate "starting on the first day" sort of thing.

A random trip to Flagstaff, however, sometime after I wake up on Tuesday, might be not at all amiss.

Maybe next week I could try California.

Nah, you need to take more time off and be less random about Texas--impulsive could work however. Doing anything over Easter?

It's halfway between San Antonio and Houston, btw.

*starts Looney tug-of-war* No no no, if she comes to Texas, she has to come to Dallas and see [livejournal.com profile] iroshi and me!

You could go camping too?

[identity profile] amberfox.livejournal.com 2006-03-28 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)
No camping for me. For one I have a toddler, but the main reason is that I'm really not particularly fond of camping. *wrinkles her nose* I can be uncomfortable without going into the middle of nowhere.

Yeah, but this kind of camping has activities for the kiddies, and flush toilets (and port-a-pots when those inevitably stop up) and showers and lots of fun pagans and events and music and shopping and all that. *grin*

Where in California?

Bummer.

Which makes no sense since it takes longer to get to Dallas than it does San Antonio from Phoenix. San Antonio is also about an hour closer to Houston.

I will chime in on the general chorus of "random, no, because you need to make plans to see ME"!

And I will point out that it's usually possible for me to take a vacation day or two on short notice.
