No can do on the Mary thing: there's already a Mary (though she's got her own personality thank gods) in "Hell's Angel".

I think tight 3rd person as per my usual style will be the book. I can't stay in 1st person for very long without a reason to.

I do need to hone my unreliable narrator skills, but this is not the piece to hone them on.
