I had a few bad experiences with really bad sticks. The memory of someone inept digging around for a vein is traumatic. The person caught a nerve.

Oooh, I had that traumatic experience. Student nurse. Gave me needle phobia for years. I told some of the medtechs I hang out with these days, when they were talking about people who run away when you try to stick them. Entertainment ensued. Medtechs know about student nurses.

I seem to remember that I had someone who was not only a trainee, but fuckin' hyper to boot.
