I've had that. But this car - I had to hang a "replacement tag" sign in the back window, with the tag #s written out, cause I'd lost my plates. I ended up with a scotch tape residue line in the back window.

I didn't get rid of it. My car is so generic in shape and color that the line is what lets me identify my car when I start to get close.
