In a little less than 24 hours, I will have been out breathing the air on this planet for 27 years. It's been a long strange trip. I'm taking this opportunity to declare it a New Year, because that's one of the important placemarkers. I want to go in grace and humor and brightness and love.

Against every darkness, there must be a light.
