So I stop off at home to get the nice shower head.

DO NOT TELL ME THAT I HAVE TO HAVE A PAIR OF VISE-GRIPS TO UNINSTALL THE OLD BROKEN SHOWER HEAD WHEN IT IS PAST MY BEDTIME AND I AM DIRTY AND CRANKY.

*ahem*

Looks like tomorrow may involve tool-shopping. Perhaps power-tool shopping.

get channel-locks or a pipe wrench. Vise grips will lead (rather swiftly) to the Dark Side.

Personally, I would go straight for the sawzall and the pipe threading kit..
