California Dreaming
Called Darkside and told him what I'd done to Shrimpy. He appreciated it, very much.
We talked gaming and Star Wars for a bit.
I mentioned to him that when I'd been hanging with him in lab when he was doing his homework the other day, that he'd said that the place he wanted to go after graduation (in the homework) was California.
Evidently, first right out of school, he's going to be looking for a job that will make him enough money to live on, and give him experience points. It doesn't really matter where. California cost of living is sky-high. After getting enough experience points, he then wishes to become employed with a game company in CA.
Fair enough.
We had to get off the phone earlier than we might have because there was an incoming call, and he had to get to bed. It was my mother, telling me that some of the resources I'd needed were coming my way. Yay parents!
...It would probably be cheating to perform a rite that ensures the availability of a suitable position that he could take or not take as he chose, right locally.
