Today I decided to clean my room.

I need some sort of booster seat for the monitor. (I just shuffled stuff in my room around a little, as sort of a preparation for breaking out the sewing machine and repairing that stack of skirts that needs fixing. The results involve a shelf that was out in the main part of the room being now in the closet, and the gigantic monitor being in a little more of a usable position.)

I think we'll see changes to legislation on teens and easy access to written smut once this current generation comes of age to be making laws. I think this is the first generation where kids have been able to really really easily find pictures and stories about sex.

God I hope so. There are so many outdated laws that to me seem to be waiting just for the old guard to die already. The disadvantages to people living longer lives!

This generation seems to be all about clear warnings and notifications of content and making it so people who Really Didn't Want To See That don't come across it, or stop before they get all the way in, but not stopping someone who does want to see it from getting in ... but making sure that's really what they came there to see.

That sounds about right, at least from my perspective. There are those people who don't want anyone to have access to it, but I think there will always be those people. In a broader sense, I also think (hope) things like technology laws and things of that nature are going to be Really Changing. People like Senator Internet Tubes just aren't representative of the views of people my age, but I don't see those laws (things like the DMCA) changing until the old guard is dead and gone.

I hope our generation is going to be fit to administer the younger generations, you know? Once we get that old, we get stick-in-the-mud and cranky.
