What color do my friends see me as?

Some people will edit the color that people show up as on their friends page. [livejournal.com profile] godai did a search like this once; he was bored out of his mind at the time.

Rules: I say "default" only if there is nobody in their visible friends list turned another color than mine. Blue: any value of blue as the predominant color/differentiating color.

Blue ||||| ||||| ||||| ||
default ||||| ||||| |*|||| ||||| |||
black/white |||||
pink/purple |
purple/purple |
white/dark red ||
black/purple ||
white/black |
white |
black/red |
reddish tan/teal |
grey/black |

*I am the only one in [livejournal.com profile] pyrogenic's friends list at the moment.

Results: a lot of people either don't have the option to tweak color on their friends page, or just haven't. A lot of other people see me as blue. Some other people look to have changed color on a few friends but not many. Others may have different colors for communities and single users.

Interesting.

Damnit!

Now I'm gonna go whomping through my friends journals to see what color I am. (I suspect red will feature strongly.)

I change all my friends to colored text on a black background, communities get a white background. The color I pick is either something I associate with their name (eg. you as blue or Vyola as violet) or the background color of their journal. That's just so the ones who care enough about design to make matched icon sets will have text to match their icons.

Of course, I have more friends than there are colors that will show up on a black background, so some people are sharing colors. You and Astrodog are the only ones currently sharing the bright blue. Compared to those sharing green, you're a fairly select group.

I seem to be purple for most people, or else green, or sometimes black. Haven't checked recently, though, nor totalled carefully.

I set all mine to a black background, and a random foreground color that has nothing to do with anything as much as my mood when I changed the color.
