Tigereye's up and running and online again. Whee!
The key that wasn't working is working now. The battery looks to be shot: it has been plugged in for two hours now, and still shows 2% remaining. Took it out and put the brand new one in, which already shows at 49%. Ahh, my familiar keyboard. So nice to have it back...
