There's the ongoing Apparently The Apartment Next Door Is Being Renovated adventure.
How to Dominate a Turkey is still not safe for anything, and actually really kind of disturbing. (No fisting, however, amazingly enough.) BDSM in context of a dead turkey rather than a live & consenting human.
I have discovered Google Analytics and desperately want it for everywhere I live.

Oh, are you using LJ messenger? How is that working out?

Not so well actually.

Most everyone in Support tried it out for the purposes of seeing how it worked and getting the documentation up to date (see item one, which is poorly-disguised laughter at the expense of whichever Russian employee who wrote the original version of the FAQ). It doesn't like tabbed browsing very much. It won't log. People keep arbitrarily shifting between groups. It did not actually explode though.

Huh.. somehow I am not that surprised. I wonder why it was added in? Is there that much of a demand? It probably would not be too useful for me personally, but if I wanted to use such a thing, lack of support for tagged browsing would probably be a deal breaker.

It sort of seems to be alpha and a half at this point, so one would hope that now that people have banged on it enough to discover how well it doesn't, then Russia will go back and make it actually work.

I don't really think there's an actual user demand for it. It's probably just part of their efforts to reach out and find partnerships that can provide services for LJ; they've said they're doing as much in the scant LJ Advisory Board notes they put up. And looking at it that way, well, why not? The service provider does the brunt of the work for it, other social networking sites have it, and it might help engagement metrics if successful.

I imagine whether or not it can get fixed depends on how much of the implementation is under LJ's control and how much time they have available to devote to making it work. If they don't have much, then it will depend on the responsiveness of the developers on MS's end.
