You know, the point about having history online of separated identities is one I think maybe should be given a lot more consideration. Maybe people who don't have a decade or more of history on the internet can start with filtering technology to keep their separate spheres separate while using the same identity... but a lot of us have been using public, separate identities for so long that, no, we can't cross the streams now. I've got nearly a decade of history under this name, I couldn't go back and erase it all if I wanted to try.
