I'll attempt to write up the trip later. Pretty much everything was lovely except for when a premenstrual mood drop hit me and I hated everything. Thankfully zarhooie talked me down from that and then everything was okay.
The highlight was probably when my fitbit ran out of juice so I googled it and my dad shoved together about the right amount of batteries and then I had to figure out how to get the juice into the thing. Uncle Davy wound up with the winning suggestion, which was scotch tape. It was the sort of creative family project that turns out to be a lot of fun despite the impetus being not-fun. I'd resigned myself to losing two days of steps, but as it was I'm not sure I actually lost anything.
Tay and I had a slumber party with the two-person Cards Against Humanity variety. Two discards. We exhausted ourselves laughing. No one peed themselves, but it was a near thing.
I saw Em, and her brother. Em is of course my age (exactly), so having her be my age when I got there was not surprising. Since we drifted apart somewhat in later years, my impression of her brother is sort of frozen at its elementary school state, which meant he was fantastically older than me. These days, one year older? That's my bff's age, which is basically my age. I had a few moments over that.
We saw a few of Tay's old classmates, and that was good.
I didn't wind up doing very many touristy things because I needed sleep desperately. I hadn't brought any of my own pillows with me, which made things less comfortable for me than they might have been.
I'm safely home. Tay is there for another week. She may go to Burning Moose.
