zilla ticket: new: tiny spiders descending from vents at a rate of about 1 per hour

Summary: tiny spiders descending from vents at a rate of about 1 per hour
          Category: Building Engineering
           Version: other
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Windows 7
            Status: NEW
          Severity: S4

After gently removing a spider from my sleeve, [pkeeper] informed me that a series of tiny, adorable, harmless spiders have been descending from the vent in the ceiling of his office ([location]) for a few days now. He estimates the rate of spider infiltration into his office to be on average 1/hour, assuming a more or
less consistent flow of spiders during the hours that the office is not occupied.

While these spiders are certainly a harmless element of the office ecosystem and not a portent of a Shelob or Aragog lurking in the depths of the HVAC system, we felt you should be aware that this is a thing that is happening.

Correction: only today. Which is quite enough.

That is an excellent bug report.

Hmmm. I thought spiders weren't bugs? Clearly this is a feature request.

But spiders crawling where they shouldn't be are a bug... maybe they're malware? That would make it more a security breech problem.

It's only a security breech when they end up in someone's pants.

We had a QA document at work which referred to security breeches. It was delightful raising an Improvement Request on such a policy.
