Belated: for Monday, March 9th

Purple was a bit of a zombie on Monday due to not much sleep.

I'd had a great time at the convention and had woken up earlier than I'd been waking up pre-time-change; amazingly enough, I'm having a sort of counter bout of jet lag that's offsetting the timechange. So everyone else is angrier than I am.

This was the day that various customers, or allegedly customers (some of them were kind of not), came onsite on very short notice, which was the thing that had disrupted the hell out of my Friday.

I went down to the shipping and receiving department to sign for some stuff, and with chocolate for the department to share. I like to treat my co-workers well.

Purple was having dinner with his not!boyfriend (and thus unavailable to walk me out as is our custom), and I was exhausted, so I zipped out "early" (earlier than usual, but still dark). Vash was cranky with me, so I spent a little more time warming him up. Just as I was backing out, my aunt called and let me know that Woodworking Uncle was sick, and did I want to call off dinner tomorrow? It was just a cold, and I am courting con-crud, so I was okay with the risk. I found another space to pull into, and sat there chatting.

I told her about the con. She excitedly asked whether there had been people dressed up. I knew what she meant, and carefully explained that some people had been wearing nice clothes, but I hadn't seen any costumes. My aunt was somewhat confused, as she was sure that it was this sort of convention that...? So I had to explain that yes, some conventions, you do get a lot of people dressing up as characters, but not all conventions, and I guessed that people at this one just hadn't felt like it?

While I sat there, I saw Purple and his not!boyfriend wander by.

Vash's crankiness extended to some engine light codes, and I determined that I would have to take him in to the shop, but not quite yet as I didn't know when I'd get him back, and I'd need him for poodlesitting on the weekend upcoming.

My right index finger was still feeling like the tendon was bruised. This made me unhappy.
