No two oven light sockets are not an electrical hazard

The guys came and fixed my stove while I was at work yesterday.

Access notes: I'm unlikely to be awake before 10 or 11 am.
Problem description: The breaker for my stove tripped while I was baking.

Material: Replaced bad oven receptacle light (shorted) and reset breaker


The weird thing is, this exact same stove had this exact same problem several Novembers ago.

My oven light shorted as well. I think it was a year ago. My landlord's response was to remove the oven entirely, because "I don't trust it anymore."

(He gave us his old oven and bought a new one for himself.)

Unfortunately, I don't remember. It was a gas oven with four gas burners, and it was white. But for some reason, even though I'm sure I saw it every day, the company that made it hasn't stuck in my head.

I could ask the landlord, though. I'm kind of curious now, too. What's your oven?
