Why do some people focus on the nasty depressing emotions and blow off the good ones? Huh?

...If someone answers that to everyone's satisfaction, and suggests a fix for it, they will probably have accomplished what untold generations of philosophical/spiritual leaders have been trying to accomplish.

I make a point of putting the happy little things into my journal: the cute things that Nephew says and does, the general happiness around the place.

It rather balances my relationship dramas nicely.
