(orange and mint is not a good taste combination!)

I'm seeing some posts about how LJ has now turned off https - do you happen to know if this is actually something new, or just the old status-quo? (or, indeed, where I might go looking for the historical info? Their FAQ is unhelpful. It's certainly not available now... I use https everywhere, and have also tried manually forcing it with no joy)
