Desktop computer lifehack

Life hack:

Put a medium sized command hook on the front or side of your computer (depending on the available space/layout.

Hang your headphones on it.

There was no room on my desk for the headphones, and I kept having to find creative places to put them within the span of the (short) cord. I got fed up a while ago. I found a hook. It was glorious.

I learned a new English idiom today. Based on the pictures DDG disgorged, it looks more or less like what I thought it was from your description of your use for it. I can't help wondering why "command", though.

Because the glue is designed so you can remove it at will -- at one's command, so to speak. US rental agreements often forbid putting any nail/screw into a wall to hang pictures, so this also device submits to the lease's commands as well.

(Marketing had a brainstorm that day!)

If you have a metal cabinet (like, say a fridge, or file cabinet, or a half-height server cabinet scavenged from an employer who was literally throwing it out), the local home improvement stores (home depot and lowes) sell hooks with super-strong magnets on them. I've a bunch of the things, and have things like keychains, coiled cables, etc. hanging on them. I've got one at my cubicle at work that holds my desk phone's headset quite nicely.
