Constructed leftover pasta/chicken salad. Mmm. Worked out with Votania last night after she got home. Bread was perfect.

It's nice to spend time with friends, with bread and wine. (Well, I probably would have preferred grape juice... hm, perhaps next time I'll drag my own chalice and share with Nephew.)

sine you talk about him all the time, and so does raggedrose I've decided to read something by him and figure out what he's like.

I've checked on my university's library and the books available (to me, damned eingeneers who won't lend us their copies) are:
strange in a strange land, the hundred lives of lazarus long, citizen of the galaxy, future horizons, space troopers.

and I'm not sure if those are the real titles anyway. translation is a funny thing.

Stranger in a Strange Land: excellent.
Not sure what the Lazarus Long book's title is; I'm not particularly fond of that character myself. It might be Time Enough for Love.
Citizen of the Galaxy was OK, I think.
Future Horizons might be Beyond This Horizon, the one that boojum was up in arms about.
Starship Troopers was an all right book, and a very different movie. If you've seen the movie, don't expect the book to be much like it in anything but a few events and some character names.
